Hoi An

Hoi An is a gorgeous ancient town on the Thu Bon River.  It is recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because it is a such a well preserved example of a South East Asian trading port from the 15th to 19th century.  What a pretty place.

..
We stayed in a very nice hotel on the river, the Vinh Hung Emerald Resort.

Enjoying the garden in front of our rooms.

View of the river from the hotel grounds.  This ferry crosses to Cam Kim Island.

    View towards the next resort.

Hoi An at night.  The 16th century Japanese Covered Bridge.

The bridge across to An Hoi Island.

Bill and Alexander on the bridge.

Hop on here for music and drink.

A street in the Old Town.

    Turtle by the river.

This is a popular night time blindfold game - wack the pottery.
