It was a beautiful English sunny day when we gathered in Brighton to start the GOLD's dancing tour. We had come from travels all over and were eager to share our adventures.
The Brighton Pier, so crowded with people taking advantage of the lovely weather.

Next day we met our counterparts in Brighton, the Three Score Company. They were very welcoming and brought along a fine feast for us.
We had a class together and later both groups danced some of our repertoires for each other. Here we are warming up together.
The GOLDS with Jason, the Three Score's dance teacher, and Elisabetta, the dance teacher who will be accompanying us. She is lovely and absolutely brilliant, quickly picking up on what we are doing and knowing exactly how to improve our performance.
After the Brighton dancers left, we spent the afternoon in our own rehearsal. This is a break in rehearsals with some doing tai chi and goodness what else.
Meanwhile, while Joy was dancing, Bill and Meg went off touring. These are the Seven Sisters - chalk cliffs along the coast from Brighton formed by erosion of the chalk hills. Actually, due to erosion, since the cliffs were named over four hundred years ago there are now eight sisters!
After our second day of rehersal, we found time to visit the amazing Royal Pavilion. It was built in as a seaside retreat for George IV in 1787. Queen Victoria also lived there for a while. Outside it is Indian in style. Inside was fantastically exotic with a lot of magnificent items from China, but no photos allowed.
We also visited the Brighton Museum. This vase is one of Grayson Perry's works, showing children of the 1950's at play, set against a background of war and violent destruction.
Choccywoccydoodah, a very popular shop making massive and marvellous cakes.
Like this for example.
Did you have some Choccywoccydoodah???
